From cold vault to warm lofts

1911
Built as a cold storage warehouse for the Fulton Market wholesale trade.
1987
Refrigerated trucking empties the upper floors. The building sits mostly vacant for three decades.
2016
Our founders buy the building and start a three year adaptive reuse project.
2019
Metro Loft Hotel opens with 142 lofts, Foundry kitchen and the Fourteen rooftop.
2020
LEED Gold certification for the renovation, with geothermal heating and cooling.
